Perseverance Pays
No life is devoid of problems and challenges. When you get knocked down in your life, what do you do? Do you give up easily or bounce back with greater determination strength?
A successful life often requires you to persist in the midst of setbacks. Perseverance is a skill that anyone can learn to not only survive, but thrive through life’s curves. When adversity strikes, it is not what happens to you but how you respond to what happens to you that has the greatest impact on your life.
Perseverance is the commitment you make to yourself to do whatever is necessary to accomplish your dreams and goals. Perseverance means you refuse to give up in spite of the difficulties that may surround you. It is the attitude that challenges you to say “why not?” instead of “why?”
Being persistent is the one thing which separates the winners from the losers. The world history is full of examples of people who succeeded as a result of their perseverance. “Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all,” reminds Dale Carnegie.
The key in developing perseverance is taking small steps that result in small achievements, ultimately resulting in success with your objective. It is like building a jigsaw puzzle, one piece is added at a time, and eventually you have the finished picture.
It always seems impossible until it is done.” “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.”
