BE A WINNER

BE A WINNER

The words winner and loser have many meanings. When we refer to a person as a winner, we do not mean one who makes someone else lose. A winner is one who responds authentically by being credible, trustworthy, responsive and genuine, both as an individual and as a member of society.

Winners are good leaders, with a great sense of responsibility. They set a good example for others. They value other people. They realise that other people can help them on their path to success.

A winner may lose ground occasionally and may even fail. Yet, in spite of setbacks, a winner maintains basic self-confidence.

A winner is not afraid to think independently and to use his own knowledge; he can separate facts from opinion and not feel the need to pretend to have all the answers. He listens to others, evaluates what they say, but comes to his own conclusions.

A winner can admire and respect others, He assumes responsibility for his own life. A winner is spontaneous and does not respond in predetermined rigid ways.

A winner’s timing is always right and he responds appropriately to any given situation. His response is related to the message received and preserves the significance, worth, well-being and dignity of the people involved. A winner knows that for everything there is a reason and for every activity a time.

Winners don’t just let things happen, they make them happen. Try to be a winner in every endeavor…
