The Mark of a True Friend: Loyalty Beyond the Good Times

Be a True Friend
In a world where friendships often fade as quickly as they form, true friendship stands out — not in moments of celebration, but in seasons of struggle.

A true friend isn’t just someone who claps the loudest when you succeed. They are the ones who stay close when the applause stops. When life gets hard, when you’re hurting, confused, or lost — they don’t disappear. They don’t wait for things to get better before coming around. They are already there, quietly holding space for you, even when words fall short.

Real friends show up — not just when it’s convenient, but especially when it’s not. They are the ones who call when everyone else assumes you’re fine. They speak truth not to tear you down, but to lift you higher. They risk discomfort to help you grow, offering honesty wrapped in love.

Their loyalty isn’t seasonal. It doesn’t depend on your success, your status, or what you can offer in return. It’s rooted in presence — being there, really there — and in heart: the kind that chooses empathy over ego, consistency over convenience.

To be a true friend means more than sharing laughs and good times. It means choosing to stay — in the silence, in the chaos, in the disappointment. It means giving without keeping score, loving without conditions, and standing firm when others walk away.

So be that kind of friend. The one who stays. The one who speaks truth with kindness. The one who shows up, no matter the season. Because in the end, true friendship isn’t just something we have — it’s something we give.

IN THE END , ONLY TRUTH STAYS

I’ve come to understand that not everyone who walks with you today is meant to stay forever.

If someone chooses distance, I no longer question it. If they step back, I quietly take a few more steps away — not out of ego, but out of self-respect and peace of mind.

Life doesn’t pause for anyone. It does hurt, yes — but only for a while. Then you learn to carry the silence, the absence, and even the unanswered questions… and still move forward.

Because healing isn’t loud. It’s quiet, and it begins when you stop looking back.

I’ve stopped chasing connections that only exist when it’s convenient.

I don’t need a crowd around me to feel seen. Even a few genuine hearts — or just one — who stands by me in truth, in silence, in storm, and in stillness… that’s enough.

Life isn’t a stage for temporary applause. It’s a journey where real companionship matters more than momentary attention.

United for Good: Rotary’s Call for Peace in a Divided World

In a world increasingly shaken by conflict, division, and uncertainty, it can be easy to lose sight of what connects us. But in these challenging times, Rotary stands as a beacon of hope—a global movement rooted in compassion, service, and the belief that a better world is possible.

We stand United for Good. Across cultures, countries, and communities, Rotarians are coming together to build bridges where others see walls. Through acts of service—small and large—we are proving that kindness, empathy, and unity are powerful tools in the pursuit of peace.

Rotary reminds the world that these values still matter. By choosing compassion over conflict, and cooperation over division, we help create lasting change. Together, we are not only responding to the world’s challenges—we are shaping a future where peace is not just a dream, but a shared reality.

Let us carry this message forward. Let us continue to serve, to connect, and to unite—for good.

The Joy of Purposeful Living

Regret won’t change the past, and worry can’t shape the future. Life becomes truly meaningful when we embrace the present—and choose to serve.

In a world that often feels divided and uncertain, one thing brings lasting joy: giving back. Through every act of kindness, every project, every life touched—we rediscover who we are meant to be.

That’s the spirit of Rotary. Service Above Self isn’t just a motto—it’s a way of life. It’s where compassion meets action. It’s where strangers become family, and small efforts create big change.

If you’re looking for purpose…

If you’re looking to make a difference…

If you’re looking to live fully, with heart—

Be part of something bigger. Join Rotary.

The Values That Make Us Rotarians

The True Measure of Greatness

Time – Life’s Greatest Teacher

“Time – Life’s Greatest Teacher”

Time teaches us at every step — sometimes through tears, sometimes through joy.

It reveals the value of hard work, the power of patience, and the wisdom of waiting.

Those who walk with time, not against it, find strength, balance, and success.

“Learn to trust time — it knows when to teach, when to test, and when to reward.”

The True Measure of Success

The True Measure of Success

Success and failure are two sides of the same coin. You can’t have one without facing the other.

But true success isn’t about never falling — it’s about how high you bounce back when you hit the bottom.

Resilience is what transforms setbacks into comebacks. Every failure is a chance to rise stronger, wiser, and more determined.

If you’re struggling, don’t give up. Get up, learn, and keep moving forward. Your bounce-back story could be your greatest success yet.

Let Your Knowledge Become Wisdom

“Let Your Knowledge Become Wisdom”

Learning new things is never easy—but the harder part is turning that knowledge into real wisdom.

Wisdom is what helps us live with meaning. It reminds us not to trade long-term happiness for quick wins. It teaches us to slow down, to think deeper, and to choose what truly matters.

Wisdom inspires us to grow as people—to be better, do better, and live better.

Because in the end, it’s not just what we know, but how we use it that shapes our life.

Where God Smiles Back

“Where God Smiles Back”

(A Tribute to Those Who Do Good in the World)

You won’t always find God in the sky or in temples.
But you’ll find Him in the smile of a child saved from polio,
in a life transformed through paediatric surgery,
in a young dream kept alive through education.

This is not just service.
This is love in action.
This is Service Above Self.
This is Rotary.

And those who support it — with heart, with hope, with hands
are the ones who truly do good in the world.

Stay Steady Like the Ocean: A Rotarian’s Reflection

“No matter how strong the sun is, it cannot dry the ocean.”
This simple truth reminds us that no matter how much pressure or criticism we face, our inner strength and purpose must remain unshaken.

As someone actively involved in service through Rotary, I’ve often observed — when you try to do something good, criticism can follow. Not always because you’re wrong, but simply because you’re doing. And doing something meaningful often makes others uncomfortable.

But Rotary teaches us to rise above. Service Above Self isn’t just a motto — it’s a mindset. We serve not for applause, but to make a difference. And in doing so, we must stay grounded, calm, and focused.

Like the ocean under the burning sun, let’s be vast in our patience and deep in our commitment. Let us continue to lead with kindness, and serve with strength.

Because in the end, actions speak louder than opinions.

Leading with Kindness: The Rotary Way

In today’s fast-paced, often divided world, what we need most is not just progress—but kindness, compassion, and meaningful connection. These qualities aren’t signs of weakness; they are the quiet strengths that bind humanity together.

As Rotarians, we are guided by the principle of Service Above Self. But service isn’t always about large-scale projects—it’s also found in the everyday moments: offering a genuine smile, listening with empathy, extending a hand to someone who needs to feel seen.

Let’s be the reason someone feels acknowledged, valued, and cared for today. Even the smallest act of kindness—a kind word, a moment of understanding—can create a ripple effect that transforms lives in ways we may never fully see.

Let’s lead not just with our hands, but with our hearts.

Let’s live the Rotary way—in service, in fellowship, and in kindness.

Together, we can build a world that is softer, stronger, and more united.

What 52 Years in Rotary Taught Me

A reflection on a life of purpose.

After 52 years in @Rotary, I’ve learned that true success isn’t measured in wealth or titles—but in character, contribution, and compassion.

In the end, it’s not what we bought—but what we built.

Not what we got—but what we gave.

Not the positions we held—but the lives we touched.

Not our success—but our significance.

Rotary shaped my life—not just through service, but through values.

Honesty. Integrity. Fellowship. Leadership. Diversity.

These are not just words—they’re the foundation of a life well lived.

Rotary reminded me that Service Above Self isn’t a motto—it’s a mindset.

Live a life that matters.

Live a life guided by values.

Live a life of Service Above Self.

True Beauty: A Rotary Reflection

True Beauty: A Rotary Reflection

In a world that often defines beauty by appearance, we as Rotarians know it runs much deeper.

True beauty shines through our values, actions, and character. It’s in how we treat others, the hope we bring, and the lives we lift through service.

It’s not about how we look — it’s about how we make others feel.

Every time we live the Rotary motto, Service Above Self, we embody a beauty that doesn’t fade with time. It grows stronger with kindness, sacrifice, and purpose.

Let’s continue to lead with integrity, empathy, and service — and make the world not just better, but more beautiful.

Rotary’s Measure of Success: Service Above Self

Rotary’s Measure of Success: Service Above Self

Success isn’t in wealth or status — it’s in values.

A truly successful person lives by:

Honesty, Integrity, Ability, Initiative, Team Spirit, Enthusiasm, Tact & Sincerity.

These are the very traits found in every Rotarian.

We don’t serve for applause.

We serve to uplift lives.

Rotary lives the motto: Service Above Self.

Let’s continue creating lasting change — together.

Rotary & Rotaract: Empowering Future Leaders

Rotary & Rotaract: Empowering Future Leaders

The collaboration between Rotary and Rotaract offers college students a platform to develop leadership skills, engage in meaningful service, and cultivate a sense of purpose and integrity. Rotaract, as Rotary’s youth movement, comprises nearly 9,000 clubs and 120,000 members across 189 countries, serving as a dynamic space for young adults to grow as leaders and contribute to their communities .

Through joint projects and initiatives, Rotary clubs provide mentorship to Rotaractors, guiding them in their personal and professional development. This partnership not only enhances the impact of service projects but also prepares Rotaractors for future leadership roles within Rotary. By fostering leadership and community engagement, both organizations cultivate a generation ready to make a global impact, strengthening service efforts and paving the way for increased membership as young leaders transition into Rotary .

Honesty & Integrity: The Heart of Rotary

Honesty & Integrity: The Heart of Rotary

In Rotary—and in life—honesty and integrity aren’t just values, they’re essentials. They build trust, define character, and guide meaningful service.

The Four-Way Test begins with, “Is it the truth?” A powerful question, but one we must live—not just recite.

Too often, in our eagerness to grow or gain influence, these principles get sidelined—even in Rotary. And sometimes, they’re compromised for personal benefit. That’s when we must pause and remind ourselves—no success is worth the cost of our core values.

Let’s:

• Lead by example

• Prioritize character over numbers

• Celebrate integrity in action

• Make the Four-Way Test a way of life

“Service Above Self” only holds meaning when grounded in truth. Let’s not just speak of values—let’s live them.

Grateful to Rotary

Forever Grateful to Rotary

Joining Rotary was one of the best decisions of my life.

It gave me the platform to fight polio in India — forming the Rotary Muslim Ulema Council to break resistance and help make India polio-free. It empowered me to contribute to pediatric heart surgeries, cervical cancer prevention, and more — and it continues to open doors to new ways of serving.

As an engineer, I’ve found purpose beyond profession. And along this journey, I’ve gained hundreds of friendships across borders — all united by the spirit of Service Above Self.

There is still so much more to do, and Rotary remains the most powerful way I know to keep making a difference — with passion, with purpose, and with people who care.

Keep Trying, and Trust in Time

Keep Trying, and Trust in Time

Keep trying, and leave the rest to time. There is a divine order to everything — even when you can’t see it yet.

Clear the darkness from your mind. Let go of doubt, fear, and past regrets. Connect with hope, and hold courage in your heart. These are your guiding lights.

Don’t be afraid of life’s exams — whether they come in the form of challenges, people, or circumstances. They are not punishments, but paths to growth. Each one is shaping you for something greater.

Have faith. What is meant for you will find its way. Just keep walking, keep believing — the universe never forgets a sincere heart.

Keep Trying, and Trust the Journey

Keep Trying, and Trust the Journey

Life is a journey full of challenges, detours, and lessons. There will be moments when the path seems unclear, and doubt creeps into your heart — but in those very moments, remember this: keep trying, and leave everything else to time.

Remove the darkness from your mind — the self-doubt, the fear, the comparisons. They are clouds that block the light of your potential. Choose instead to connect with hope. Let it be your anchor when everything else feels uncertain. Keep courage in your heart, even when the odds feel overwhelming.

Exams — whether academic, emotional, or personal — are just a part of the process. Don’t let them scare you. They’re not here to define your worth, but to help you discover your strength. So stop being afraid of them. Instead, face them with the belief that you are capable, prepared, and resilient.

Every setback is a setup for a comeback. Every failure, a lesson in disguise. Keep showing up, keep putting in the effort, and trust that time has a way of aligning things when the moment is right.

You are stronger than your fear, and braver than you think.

Unmasking the Ego: A Quiet Illusion

Unmasking the Ego: A Quiet Illusion

Ego doesn’t roar—it whispers.
It tells us we’re stronger when we don’t need anyone, and more valuable when others need us.

These are quiet traps:
Pride in self-sufficiency.
Illusion in being indispensable.

But life humbles us—through silence, setbacks, and change. And in that space, we learn:

Humility isn’t weakness.
It’s quiet strength that frees us and brings us closer to what truly matters.

Letting go of ego doesn’t make us less.
It makes us more—wiser, lighter, human.

Learning to Live with Silent Pain

“Learning to Live with Silent Pain”

Some wounds are old…

but the pain still feels fresh.

There’s someone I tried to forget—because I had no choice.

Yet every evening, their memory finds me.

I no longer hold complaints.

I’ve let go of expectations from those I once trusted.

Now, I’ve simply learned to live—

to smile without a reason,

and carry on with quiet strength.

Healing isn’t always about forgetting.

Sometimes, it’s about learning to live with the pain—peacefully.

The Miracles of Rotary: United for Good

The Miracles of Rotary: United for Good

If every Rotarian in our country stepped forward in service, we wouldn’t just change lives—we’d create miracles. With collective effort, we could bring clean water, education, healthcare, and opportunity to the underserved. We could truly reshape our communities—and our country.

Now imagine the power of over 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide. If each of us contributes—through action or resources—we could spark transformation on a global scale. Because when Rotary moves, the world changes.

Every Rotary initiative—whether in health, literacy, environment, or youth empowerment—creates a ripple that reaches beyond the individual. It touches families, lifts communities, and often changes the course of generations.

At the heart of it all is The Rotary Foundation, a trusted engine that turns our passion into measurable impact. By supporting it, we amplify our ability to serve and sustain meaningful change.

Let us remain united for good, guided by Service Above Self, and committed to the vision of a more compassionate world. Because when Rotarians come together, miracles don’t just happen—they multiply.

In a world often clouded by challenges, the light of compassion can pierce through, illuminating paths to hope and change. Rotary’s guiding principle, “Service Above Self,” isn’t just a motto; it’s a call to action, urging us to look beyond our own needs and extend a hand to those in distress.

Every act of kindness, whether it’s providing clean water, supporting education, or offering healthcare, has the potential to touch lives in profound ways. These aren’t mere projects; they’re lifelines, moments where we become the difference someone desperately needs.

But the true magic lies in our unity. When we come together, our collective strength becomes unstoppable. Rotary doesn’t just create projects; it creates miracles—transformations that ripple through communities and generations.

So, let’s not wait for change to find us. Let’s be the change. Let’s ignite hearts with the warmth of service, lighting up the world one act at a time.

Life Reflects What You Give

Life Reflects What You Give

Life has a gentle yet powerful way of returning what we put into it. If you seek love, offer love with an open heart. If you value truth, live it with courage. If you desire respect, begin by showing it to others—regardless of who they are. What we give out—love, kindness, honesty, respect—may take time, but it always finds its way back to us. The world mirrors our actions. Be the reflection of what you wish to receive, and watch how life responds—with grace, with meaning, and with quiet rewards.

Touching Lives, Creating Hope: The True Measure of Rotary

Touching Lives, Creating Hope: The True Measure of Rotary

Rotary’s greatest success cannot be measured in awards, titles, or applause. It is measured in the silent gratitude of a child given clean water, in the quiet dignity of a family restored by education, in the unseen ripple of peace where conflict once stood. Rotary’s true legacy lies in the hearts we touch and the lives we transform—not through grand gestures, but through consistent, compassionate service rooted in our enduring motto: Service Above Self. In a world weary with uncertainty and division, every act of kindness, every project with purpose, every Rotarian who steps forward becomes a beacon of hope. Together, we do more than serve—we create hope in the world. That is our calling. That is our promise.

Rise to Serve: Rotary’s Moment Is Now

Rise to Serve: Rotary’s Moment Is Now

For over 120 years, Rotary has been a force for good—eradicating disease, uplifting communities, and building peace. But today, the world’s needs are greater than ever, and Rotary is being called to do more, to be more. Every government, every community looks to us—not just for support, but for leadership. Now is the time for every Rotarian to act with compassion and purpose, aligning our service with real community needs—be it water, health, education, or the environment. Our Action Plan shows the way, but it’s our hearts that must lead. Let’s rise together—because Rotary is a gift to the world, and it’s up to us to deliver it.

Souls That Meet Again

Souls That Meet Again

In the vast crowd of this world, we cross paths with countless people — yet only a few leave a lasting mark on our hearts. These rare connections are never by accident. They are bonds carried over from past lives, quietly waiting to be remembered in this one.

We don’t need reasons to explain them. There’s a quiet familiarity, an unspoken comfort, a trust that feels effortless. When we meet such souls, it feels less like a beginning and more like a reunion — as if life is gently bringing us back to someone we once held dear.

So when someone enters your life and instantly feels like home, pause and be grateful. In a world full of fleeting encounters, these moments of deep connection are not random — they are written in the language of the soul, across lifetimes.

Rotary: A Force for Peace and Compassion

Rotary: A Force for Peace and Compassion

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

In a world where vast resources are spent on conflict, Rotary chooses a different path — one of service, compassion, and lasting impact.

We believe that peace is not achieved through power, but through purpose. When we provide clean water to a village, open the doors of education to a child, or bring healthcare to a struggling community, we are not just solving problems — we are planting the seeds of peace.

Service Above Self is more than our motto — it is our shared promise to put humanity first. Through Rotary’s areas of focus, we transform lives, build bridges of understanding, and promote goodwill among nations and communities.

Let us continue to lead with empathy, act with courage, and give with open hearts. Together, we are not only doing good in the world — we are shaping a future where peace is possible, and compassion is the norm.

In fellowship and service,

Compassion in Action: The Rotary Way to Peace

Compassion in Action: The Rotary Way to Peace

Peace isn’t just about stopping wars — it’s about ensuring people everywhere have access to education, health, safety, and dignity. But how can we talk about peace when half the world still can’t read, millions go hungry, and so many live without clean water or basic healthcare?

This is where Rotary steps in.

Through our Seven Areas of Focus — from literacy and clean water to disease prevention and peace building — Rotary is more than just a service organization. We’re a global movement of compassion in action.

But good intentions aren’t enough. We need to act — and give — generously. Every contribution to The Rotary Foundation is a step toward a fairer, kinder world. When we support Rotary, we’re helping build a future where no child is left thirsty and no family is left without hope.

Let’s be bold in our service. Let’s go beyond what we thought possible. Because peace begins where compassion lives — and the world needs that now more than ever.

The Heartbeat of Servic

The Heartbeat of Servic
It doesn’t matter how long we live, how much wealth we gather, or how many accolades we receive. What truly matters is the good we do, the hope we share, and the lives we uplift along the way.

As I reflect on my 52 years in Rotary, I feel blessed. Rotary has not just been an organization—it has been my way of life. It taught me the true meaning of Service Above Self and the joy that comes from doing good in the world, quietly, selflessly, and consistently.

Through these years, I’ve learned that the greatest legacy isn’t found in titles or trophies, but in compassionate action, in giving without expecting, and in being there when it matters most.

Rotary has shown me that the heart of service is the soul of humanity. And as long as I can, I will continue to smile, serve, sacrifice, and satisfy—because in giving, I have found life’s greatest reward.

Integrity Builds Credibility

 “Integrity Builds Credibility”

The credibility of Rotary as a global service organization is deeply rooted in the integrity of its members. It is the honesty, ethical conduct, and unwavering commitment to Rotary’s core values that shape its public image and trustworthiness. When members uphold high moral standards in both their personal and professional lives, they reflect the true spirit of Rotary — Service Above Self. This collective integrity not only strengthens internal bonds but also inspires confidence and respect from the communities Rotary serves, ensuring the organization remains a beacon of hope and positive change worldwide.

Caring — A Gift Beyond Price, A Legacy for Life

Caring — A Gift Beyond Price, A Legacy for Life

In a world often focused on material things, caring is a rare and priceless gift. It’s born from love, rooted deep in the heart, and when shared, it creates memories that last a lifetime. True care isn’t fleeting—it stays with us, shaping who we are and how we connect with others.

At Rotary, we embrace the motto Service Above Self, understanding that real service comes from genuine care. It’s not about recognition, but about building lasting bonds that endure through every challenge. In the end, it’s the love we give, not the things we have, that creates a legacy.

Listening to the Inner Voice

“Listening to the Inner Voice”

Not everything that is right is always possible — life often places us in situations where ideals must wrestle with reality. Likewise, not everything that is possible is necessarily right — convenience can sometimes lead us astray from our values. In such moments of uncertainty, the only true guide is the heart.

When we act with sincerity, guided by compassion and integrity, we align ourselves with a deeper truth — one that transcends logic and circumstance. The heart, when unclouded by ego and fear, carries a wisdom that reason alone cannot reach.

Stay true to your heart, even when the path is unclear. It may not always be the easiest route, but it will always lead you closer to a life of purpose, peace, and authenticity.

The Magic of love

The  Magic of love

There is an undeniable, transformative magic in love — a gentle force that moves the world in ways we often cannot see, but deeply feel. Love transcends language, distance, and even time. It touches hearts, bridges divides, and fosters a sense of belonging and connection that nothing else can. In its purest form, love asks for nothing in return, yet gives everything — comfort in sorrow, strength in struggle, and joy in everyday moments.

The true magic of love lies in its power to heal and uplift. It softens the hardest of hearts, mends broken spirits, and inspires us to rise above selfishness to serve others. Whether it is the unconditional love of a parent, the steadfast loyalty of a friend, or the quiet compassion shared between strangers, love nurtures the best in us. It is found in kind words, selfless acts, warm embraces, and even silent prayers.

Love is not just an emotion — it is a way of being. When we lead with love, we create ripples of hope and harmony that travel far beyond what we can imagine. In a world that often feels fragmented, the magic of love reminds us that we are all connected — and that through love, we can build a more compassionate and beautiful world.

Honesty and Integrity: The Heart of Rotary

Honesty and Integrity: The Heart of Rotary

As Rotarians, we are called to live by the highest standards of integrity—principles deeply rooted in the Rotary Four-Way Test. In everything we think, say, or do, we ask: Is it the truth? This simple yet powerful question reminds us that honesty is not just a virtue—it’s a way of life. Upholding truth, fairness, and goodwill strengthens the trust that communities place in Rotary, and it begins with each of us having the courage to stand for what is right, even when it’s difficult.

In today’s world, where injustice, dishonesty, and greed can sometimes go unchecked, Rotarians must lead by example. We must speak out against wrongdoing, champion transparency and compassion, and ensure that our actions reflect the values we promote. When we stand firmly for truth and integrity, we do more than uphold a tradition—we inspire others to do the same. Together, we build a more ethical and caring world, one decision at a time.

The Heart of Rotary: Love Without Limits

“The Heart of Rotary: Love Without Limits”

The greatest gift we can offer one another is the gift of unconditional love and acceptance. In a world often divided by differences, it is this selfless, open-hearted love that bridges gaps and heals wounds. Rotary, at its core, is built on this very foundation—Service Above Self. It teaches us not just to help others, but to truly love our neighbors, regardless of who they are or where they come from. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. so powerfully said, “Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.” When we love without judgment and serve without expectation, we not only change lives—we uplift humanity. That is the Rotary spirit, and that is the power of love in action.

Igniting Impact: The Rotary Spirit in Action

“Igniting Impact: The Rotary Spirit in Action”

Rotarians are not just dreamers—they are doers, visionaries, and catalysts of lasting change. With unwavering commitment, a spirit of collaboration, and hearts full of compassion, they transform bold ideas into meaningful action. As our world grapples with unprecedented challenges—climate change, inequality, conflict, and more—the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self” shines as a beacon of hope and resilience. Now more than ever, this spirit is not just relevant—it is essential. Let us rise together to serve, not merely because we can, but because humanity needs us to lead, act, and inspire.

Living the Motto: “Service Above Self

Living the Motto: “Service Above Self”

Rotary International’s guiding principle, “Service Above Self,” encapsulates the organization’s enduring commitment to humanitarian service, ethical conduct, and global fellowship. More than just a motto, it reflects a philosophy embraced by Rotarians worldwide — a belief that the needs of others should come before personal gain. Through countless initiatives in education, health, peacebuilding, and environmental protection, Rotarians strive to uplift communities and foster positive, lasting change.

This selfless approach to service inspires individuals to act with compassion and integrity, encouraging a spirit of volunteerism and civic responsibility. Whether it’s eradicating polio, providing clean water, or supporting local youth programs, Rotary members embody the idea that true leadership is rooted in serving others. “Service Above Self” is not only a call to action, but a reminder that through generosity and unity, individuals can make a profound difference in the world.

In Stillness We Stagnate, In Motion We Rise

In Stillness We Stagnate, In Motion We Rise”

Every moment in life—whether joyful or painful—holds meaning. What may feel like misfortune often arrives to show us the value of good fortune.

Obstacles don’t come to break us, but to uncover the strength we never knew we had. People don’t change by accident; they reveal their true selves by design, allowing us to see beyond the illusions we once held.

Just as still water turns stagnant and begins to decay, while running water remains clear and alive—so too does growth belong to those who stay in motion. Progress is fueled by movement. Those who remain stagnant rarely experience the transformation they desire.

So keep moving. Keep evolving. That’s where life truly begins.

Protect Your Peace: Know When to Walk Away — the Rotary Way

“Protect Your Peace: Know When to Walk Away — the Rotary Way”

Walk away from conversations that fail the test of truth and fairness.

Walk away from relationships that don’t build goodwill or better friendships.

Walk away from situations that don’t benefit all concerned.

Just as Rotarians strive to uphold high ethical standards, we must also protect our inner peace.

By walking away from what diminishes our values, we create space for service, growth, and a life of purpose.

The Beauty of a Purposeful Life: Service Above Self

The Beauty of a Purposeful Life: Service Above Self

It’s true—“If we make each minute of our life fruitful, we will have nothing but a fruitful life.” In a world that often measures success by what we accumulate, let us dare to live differently. Let us be courageous enough to lead purposeful lives, to rise each day with the quiet determination to make a difference, to discover the true beauty of life not in possessions, but in the positive impact we leave behind. Real joy is found not in seeking personal gain, but in offering a hand to those in need, in becoming the reason someone believes the world still holds kindness.

As Rotarians, we hold a powerful truth in our hearts: “Service Above Self.” It’s not just a motto—it’s a way of life. Each act of service, no matter how small, has the power to transform not just communities but hearts—ours and others’. Rotary shows us that the real miracle lies in giving, in the silent moments when someone smiles because we cared. As Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Through Rotary, we don’t just give—we heal, we inspire, we empower. And in doing so, we discover the most profound happiness life has to offer.

“The Price of Peace”

Sometimes, walking away is not weakness — it’s wisdom.

Some questions have no answers because they were never meant to be asked.

Some friends stay only when the winds favor them — not you.

And some relationships strip you of your dignity so quietly, you forget what self-respect feels like.

Letting go isn’t giving up.

It’s choosing yourself over pain that pretends to be love.

“The Measure of True Education”

You can climb to the highest position in your career.
You can earn the most prestigious degrees from the best institutions.
You can gather wealth, fame, and recognition.
But if you haven’t learned how to speak with kindness…
If you don’t know how to treat others with respect and dignity…
If you lack basic humanity in your interactions…
Then none of those achievements truly matter.
Because real education isn’t just about what you know —
It’s about how you carry yourself, how you treat others, and how you make people feel.
Without that, you’re just an educated illiterate.

“STRIVE TO BE THE FIRST “

First to smile, even when it’s hard; first to offer praise, even in small victories; first to lend a hand, even when it’s inconvenient; first to forgive, even without an apology; first to give, even when you have little; first to mend and maintain relationships, even when pride says otherwise; and first to admit your mistakes, even when ego resists. For it is in these quiet acts of courage and kindness that true greatness is found.

The Fear We Must Overcome: A Call to Live Authentically

In today’s world, man is often more fearful of the judgment of others than of the judgment of God. Behind every action, there seems to be a veil of pretense, a constant struggle to fit into a mold created by society. From the simplest acts—eating and drinking, sitting and standing, waking and sleeping, laughing and crying—everything is often more influenced by what others think than by the desires of his own heart.

But in the midst of this performance, we must remember one truth: the world’s approval is fleeting, but the eyes of God see straight to the soul. It is not enough to appear good in the sight of others. Instead, we must strive to be true before God, for He knows our hearts intimately.

God is always present within us, guiding us, waiting for us to embrace authenticity over appearance. Let us choose to live in truth, not to please the world, but to honor the One who sees us as we truly are.

A Call for Peace: The Impact of Trade Wars on Global Harmony.

It’s truly disheartening to witness the current direction being taken by the President of the United States, one that seems to be steering us toward an unnecessary trade war. This escalating tension disrupts not only the economy but the very sense of peace that holds our world together. The ripple effects are felt everywhere, unsettling communities and sowing uncertainty. I sincerely hope that the President will choose to prioritize diplomacy and collaboration over conflict, restoring peace and prosperity for all. Such efforts would undoubtedly be embraced by world leaders, and more importantly, by the people who are most affected.

“Building Unity from Within: The Heartbeat of Rotary”

To spark global unity, we must first nurture it within our own Rotary clubs. Strengthening Rotary starts with inclusivity, with creating a space where every voice is heard, and every person is valued. It begins with honest relationships—relationships where we listen deeply, support unconditionally, and uplift one another relentlessly. When we build a Rotary club that stands strong and united, that spirit doesn’t just stay within our walls; it radiates outwards, touching the world and inspiring change. The unity we cultivate in our hearts will echo far beyond, creating a ripple of hope and connection across the globe.

“The Art of Growing Together”

An ideal relationship is a beautiful dance where two people come together, not to complete one another, but to complement each other in the most meaningful way. It’s about growing together, lifting each other up, and pursuing your shared dreams with love and determination. But amidst that unity, it’s just as important to cherish your individuality—celebrate what makes you unique while embracing the common threads that bond you.

In this journey, it’s vital to appreciate the similarities you share, while also honoring the differences that make each of you special. Possessiveness has no place here, because love thrives in freedom and trust. And above all, remember—never let a moment of anger or hurt cloud your actions. Don’t make decisions out of temporary emotions, for true love is patient, understanding, and always kind.

Values Beyond Success

In a world where everyone is constantly chasing personal, social, and career goals, people often rely on shortcuts and strategies to achieve their desires. However, in their pursuit of success, many forget the true value of the relationships that matter most. The lessons I’ve learned over time are simple yet profound:

• Never take for granted those who genuinely care for you.

• No matter how busy life gets, never turn your back on those who need you.

• To achieve real success, never betray the trust of those who believe in you.

• And most importantly, never forget the ones who never forget you.

The Greatest Gift We Can Give: Honouring Our Parents’ Love and Sacrifice

To care for those who once cared for us is a sacred duty—one of the highest forms of love we can offer. Caring for our elders, and especially our parents, is perhaps the most profound responsibility entrusted to us. They walked the path before us, carving a way, making countless sacrifices, and offering us the gift of life we now hold. Their love and wisdom shaped the very foundation of our existence, and without them, the world we know would not be the same.

I am endlessly grateful to my parents for the selfless sacrifices they made so that I could live a life of dignity and respect. It is their strength, their guidance, and their unwavering belief in me that have allowed me to stand where I am today. Every step I take is a reflection of their love and the lessons they imparted.

In this journey of life, we owe them more than words can say. We owe them our care, our time, and our respect—for they are the silent architects of all that we have become.

“The Unseen Evolution of the Soul”

Time, like a relentless river, sweeps all things into its current—transforming them beyond recognition. And as the world turns, so too do the hearts and minds of those around us.

First, you’ll notice a shift in their thoughts—a quiet change in perspective. Then, their actions will follow, subtly veering from what you once knew. Finally, it will be their words—the tone, the sharpness, the warmth or coldness—that betrays their true evolution.

In this age of Kaliyug, change is inevitable. It is a reflection of human nature itself, malleable and adaptable to every fleeting need.

So, don’t waste time worrying about others. People, like the world they inhabit, will always evolve—often beyond your recognition or control. Their colours will change, and so must you.

“FINDING THE LIGHT : EMBRACING THE POWER OF SUPPORT THROUGH LIFE’S STORMS “

Some of the most profound pieces of advice I’ve ever received came wrapped in simplicity, yet carried the weight of truth. One of the best, perhaps the most essential, was to find someone who knows how to bring out the sun during your darkest storms — someone whose presence can turn the most relentless downpour into a fleeting moment. Another invaluable piece of wisdom was to seek out the person who can effortlessly make you smile, even when you’re buried under the weight of sorrow, offering lightness when everything feels heavy. But, above all, the most important advice of all was to find someone who possesses the rare and remarkable ability to turn life’s messiest, most fragile moments into something beautiful — someone who knows exactly how to help you rebuild, to inspire hope, and to remind you that even when you feel like you’re falling apart, there is always a way forward.

Deep Reflection

Our trust has the power to move mountains, but our doubt can just as easily make them stand still, unmoving, unyielding. Relationships are never built on the illusion of conquering others; they thrive when we learn the art of humility. To nourish a bond, one must bend, endure, and sometimes even lose oneself so that the other may rise. Only in that selfless surrender can relationships truly flourish and endure.

True relationships are the most precious wealth we can possess. A moment of recognition can spark thousands of connections, and a single smile can dissolve the weight of countless sorrows. Yet, we must walk gently on this journey called life, for misunderstandings—like wildfires—can burn down the dreams we’ve spent a lifetime building.

“Beauty lies in hope, in nourishment, in companionship, and in the awakening of the soul.”

For a man who lives in poverty, beauty lies in the promise of wealth, in the freedom that abundance brings. It is found in the hope that one day he might escape the harsh grip of want and step into a world where his needs are met, where his dreams can take root.

For a person whose stomach rumbles with hunger, beauty is found in nourishment. It is in the warmth of a simple meal, the comfort of knowing that the pain of emptiness will soon be soothed. In every bite, there is a moment of solace, a fleeting taste of peace in a world of scarcity.

For someone who walks in solitude, beauty is in companionship, in the shared laughter of a friend, the understanding in another’s eyes. It is in the connection that erases the silence and fills the heart with belonging. A kindred spirit, a hand to hold, makes the world feel less cold and the path less lonely.

And for those who seek truth, beauty is in awakening—an awakening of the soul, the mind, and the heart. It is the beauty of clarity that comes when illusions fall away, and the light of understanding reveals the deeper essence of life. To awaken is to transcend, to see the world with a new lens, where every moment is infused with meaning and purpose.

When One Path Closes, Ten More Open

My heart, why do you weep in despair? Understand that what is destined will unfold, and what is meant to be will happen. When one door shuts, do not mourn, for ten more doors open before you, each leading to new possibilities and growth. Trust in the process of life, for it always carries you forward.

Consider the trees that stand tall, even when their branches bear no fruit. Do the birds not still find shelter and build their nests there? Life’s beauty is not always in the fruits of our labor, but in the strength to persist, to grow, and to adapt. What do you gain by letting fear and doubt take root? The dawn can only break after the long, dark night — every challenge carries the seed of new beginnings.

And though you may soar high, even in the boundless sky, remember that every living being must touch the earth at some point. No one flies forever without grounding. Do not let your spirit sink in sorrow. The world may seem harsh at times, yet it is in the deepest struggles that your resilience is forged. I’ve heard that those who feel most alone are the ones who, in the end, find a deeper connection, a sense of belonging that is more profound than they could have imagined.

So, hold on. Trust that life’s ebb and flow carries meaning, and that when you feel lost, there is always something, someone, waiting to guide you home.

“The hurt may linger, but the power to heal is within us.”

When someone betrays us, lies about us, or slanders our name, it cuts deep. The initial sting of disbelief and hurt often gives way to sadness, anger, or even frustration. Our emotions, like a storm, swell up, and before we know it, the heaviness weighs on our hearts and our spirits. The body, too, feels the impact—stress, anxiety, even illness start to creep in as we carry this emotional burden. Relationships, once filled with trust and warmth, suddenly feel distant, strained, like cracks in a foundation we once thought was unbreakable.

In these moments, we often feel like we’ve lost something precious: our peace of mind, our joy, and even our health. The strength we once had seems to drain away as we try to come to terms with the pain that’s been caused. We find ourselves questioning everything—our choices, our trust in people, the very nature of the relationships we’ve built.

But here’s the most important thing to remember: while people may try to harm us, they can never truly touch the most sacred part of us—our inner state of mind. Though the external world may try to break us, our peace, our thoughts, and our spirit are ours to protect. We have the power to decide how we respond to these challenges. The pain may come, but it doesn’t have to define us. We can heal, we can rebuild, and we can rise above the things that once tried to tear us down. The strength to move forward is not dependent on the people who hurt us, but on the resilience we find within ourselves.

Live with Purpose:

An aimless life is a life filled with confusion and dissatisfaction. Every individual should strive for a clear, meaningful goal. However, it’s essential to recognize that the quality of your life is directly shaped by the quality of your aim. Set your sights high and broad—choose aspirations that are noble, generous, and selfless. In doing so, you not only elevate the worth of your own life but also enrich the lives of those around you. A life lived with purpose is a life that leaves a lasting impact.

The path of life is never easy…

It stretches before us, winding and uncertain, with challenges that seem to arise at every turn. Some days, the world feels like it’s burning under a scorching sun, relentless and unforgiving. There are moments when the weight of it all bears down, and it feels like we’re walking in a haze, searching for an escape from the heat.

Then, out of nowhere, the skies shift, and rain begins to fall. It’s gentle at first, but sometimes it pours, washing over us, leaving us cold and vulnerable. And yet, even in the rain, there is beauty. There are moments of joy, too, fleeting bursts of laughter that seem to grow in the most unexpected places—lifting us, even if only for a while.

But life isn’t all sunshine and rain. Sometimes, my eyes fill with tears, tears that don’t seem to have any answers. Sometimes, the world feels heavy, as if we’re carrying it all on our shoulders, trying to keep going despite the weight of it. Then, there are moments when everything feels like it’s falling into place—when the people around me come together, when everything clicks into harmony, and I remember what it means to truly belong.

And yet, there are times when the quiet is overwhelming. When, despite being surrounded by a crowd, all that remains is loneliness. It wraps around me like a cloak, pulling me into a solitude so deep it’s hard to find my way back.

It’s hard to understand how life flows, how it moves from moment to moment, always changing, always shifting. There’s no map to guide us, no blueprint that tells us what’s next. We walk this path not knowing what we’ll face around the corner—whether it’s a storm, a burst of laughter, or the quiet echo of solitude.

But through it all, one thing is certain: Life is a journey of constant transformation. It tests us, molds us, and teaches us in ways we never expect. And maybe, in the end, it’s not about understanding every step of the way, but about finding the courage to keep walking, even when we don’t know where we’re going.

“Those who stand by you in tough times are better than the best advice.”

Some of the best advice I’ve ever received was to seek out the kind of person who understands how to bring out the sun even during the fiercest storms. The kind of person who sees through your struggles and knows how to make you smile, even when you feel like you’re sinking into sadness.

But perhaps the most important piece of wisdom was to find someone who, in moments when you’re at your lowest, reminds you that even in the most broken of times, there’s still something worth holding on to. Someone who knows how to make the best of things when you feel like you’re beginning to unravel.

Because, at the end of the day, it’s not just about finding someone to share the good moments with—it’s about having someone who stands by you, not in spite of your flaws, but because of them. Someone who makes the difficult times bearable, and the beautiful moments even more unforgettable.

PEACE BEGINS WITHIN

Everyone yearns for peace, but how many are truly willing to give it? The world is filled with the desire for tranquility, yet we often hesitate to offer it to others. It’s easy to overlook our own mistakes, while turning the smallest missteps of others into monumental issues. We complain that our minds are not at peace—how can they be, when we’re constantly preoccupied with counting the flaws of those around us?

How do we expect to find serenity when we stir chaos in our minds over every little thing? If you truly seek peace, start by letting go of petty judgments and learn to forgive. Don’t let your soul get tangled in trivial matters that serve no purpose but to disturb your inner calm. Peace begins within, not by pointing fingers, but by releasing the weight of resentment and choosing understanding over criticism.

BITTER EXPERIENCE IN LIFE

I don’t trust anyone anymore. No matter how kind or genuine someone may seem, I can’t bring myself to believe in them. People have always only given me as much importance as it served their own needs. Once they’ve had what they wanted from me, I was forgotten, left to fade into the background.

No one ever bothered to check on me, to ask how I was doing. Yet I gave everything, always with honesty, pouring my energy into every relationship, always there when they needed me. I supported them when they were down, walked alongside them through their darkest times, and despite carrying others, I’m left alone.

I can’t stand pretending anymore. I don’t want to meet people who wear masks, pretending to care, pretending to understand. I now prefer the company of my own thoughts, my own heart. Alone, but at peace.

And the pain? It’s numb now. No matter how deeply someone cuts, or how hard they knock me down, I feel no sting anymore. Because the hands that pushed me were the same hands I trusted more than my own. Those who I thought would hold me up, instead were the ones to betray me.

I’ve learned the hard way. I see through the deception now, recognize who took advantage of me and how much. Half of my life was spent deceived by the illusion that everyone is good, that kindness is real. But now, I know better. I know the truth, and I’ll never forget the lessons I’ve learned.

The Power of Attitude: Shaping Your Reality

Success or failure often hinges on one factor: attitude. Your attitude shapes your perspective, dreams, resilience, and ability to seize opportunities. It’s not external circumstances, but your response to them that matters.

Take control of your attitude; it’s the one thing you can always control. While outside events influence your emotions, you decide the meaning you attach to them. You can choose to see setbacks as opportunities for growth rather than roadblocks.

Instead of letting circumstances dictate your mindset, consciously choose to respond with positivity. By practicing this, you’ll unlock the potential for remarkable change. Remember, attitude—not aptitude—determines your altitude.

The Strength of Time

That’s a beautifully poignant reflection. It profoundly captures the way time, in all its subtle cruelty and quiet grace, both heals and scars us. It reshapes our relationships and perceptions in ways we never fully expect. The way what was once a constant—something we held so close—slowly slips away, turning into something distant, almost foreign, is achingly real.

It’s like trying to hold onto sand—the harder we grasp, the quicker it slips through our fingers.

How do you find your way through all of this? Does writing like this help to make sense of it all, or is it a way of navigating the depths of pain?

A PURPOSE-DRIVEN LIFE

The true value of life is not measured by what you accumulate, but by what you stand for. It is through fulfilling your purpose that the beauty of life is revealed and magnified. One of the most profound ways to enrich your existence is by dedicating yourself to a noble cause, living each day with intention and meaning.

What matters most is not simply that you existed, but the positive impact you had on the lives of others. The best way to discover this sense of purpose is by engaging with organizations like Rotary, which provide countless opportunities to make a difference and live a life of significance.

As Nelson Mandela wisely said, “There is no passion to be found playing small, in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”

Embrace the Light of Rotary: Celebrating Our Differences

In a world often divided, we must ask: What truly separates us? Is it our differences, or our inability to embrace them? Rotary allows us to celebrate diversity—across cultures, religions, races, and opinions—building bridges instead of walls.

While the world strives for peace, fear and competition too often drive division. But Rotary shows us that differences are not threats; they are opportunities for growth and connection. As Audre Lorde reminds us, “Difference is a reason for celebration, not destruction.”

Let us celebrate our differences, not as obstacles, but as pathways to mutual respect, understanding, and unity. In doing so, we can shine the light of Rotary and move closer to a world where diversity is embraced, not feared.

The Truth of Life

Time is relentless and does not wait for anyone. Circumstances evolve, people change, and at times, even those closest to us may become strangers. However, the true victor is the one who transforms every challenge into a valuable lesson.

Success in life is achieved by those who possess the resilience to rise after each fall. Those who avoid difficulties will find it impossible to move forward. Remember, behind every struggle lies an invaluable lesson.

When love, friendship, and relationships are genuine, they endure through even the toughest times. Conversely, those who are driven by selfish motives will eventually part ways.

Therefore, cultivate inner strength so that the arrival or departure of others does not destabilize your world. Do not fear challenges, for it is through these struggles that you develop your greatest strength.

“FOUR BITTER TRUTHS OF LIFE “

(1). You will never able to fully satisfy anyone.

(2). Your responsibility will never end.

(3). No matter how much you live for others, no one will appreciate you.

(4). You cannot change someone’s life even if you want to. Because he is getting the fruits of his actions which are not in control of any individual.

So stop worrying about all the happenings and live a little for yourself.

FOCUS ON THE TRAIL AND LEARN A LESSON

FOCUS ON THE TRAIL AND LEARN A LESSON

A friend of mine usually goes for hiking with his group of friends. One day I happened to ask him what pleasure he gets that he loved hiking so much .

He said, “When I’m on the trail I’m only focused on the trail. I’m not thinking about yesterday or tomorrow. I’m not thinking about my problems . I’m only focused on the trail and my next step. With loose rocks and uneven surfaces, hiking requires you to be in the present moment.  Your next step must be your priority or else you can trip, fall and hurt yourself.”

What a great lesson for me and all of us! When you are on the trail, only focus on the trail. When you are with your family, focus on them, not work.  When you are at work, focus on your work. When you are with your kids, focus on them not your cell phone.

Be where your feet are. Be mindful in the moment. Live in the present, instead of always worrying about the future and rehashing the past.

When you’re on the path to success, focus on the process, one step at a time, to reach your destination.

It means to focus on the steps you have to take today. The 5 feet in front of you that you can see the steps. When you look at the mountaintop you can’t see the trail and the details, but when you focus on the trail in front of you, you can step over the rocks, maintain solid footing, and traverse the needed ground.

Focusing on the trail will lead to a lot less trips and falls and create more peace of mind and a much more enjoyable and successful journey!

REWARD FOR GOODNESS

REWARD FOR GOODNESS

Once a king was roaming around villages to ask about the well-being of his subjects. Then a button of his clothes broke and the tailor was called. When the tailor fixed the button, the king asked- what reward should be given for fixing the button.

The tailor said, “Maharaj, it was a very small job, it is my good fortune that I got a chance to serve you.”

The king wanted to see what the tailor asked from him, so the king insisted and asked what should be given, he said “Maharaj, whatever you wish, you can give it.”

The king told his minister to give two villages as a reward to the tailor. Now the tailor started thinking that he was asking for ten rupees and now the king made him the owner of two villages. Similarly, when we leave everything to God, then He gives according to his wish. Which is much more than the thinking of man.

PREPARATION BRINGS SUCCESS

PREPARATION BRINGS SUCCESS
If you wish to achieve long term success and everything you want in life, you need to have solid foundations such as character, values and attitudes which can happen only if you spend time in mental preparation. This is the only way you can meet the demands of pressure-cooker situations in life time and again.

It is true that if we fail to plan ahead in life we cannot succeed. It is in this context that Abraham Lincoln once said, “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.”
Thus, in pursuit for instant success, wealth and gratification many people do not spend quality time in preparation, resulting ultimately in their failure at the task at hand.

The quality of time you spend in preparation will be manifested in the quality and effectiveness of your life. There is no such thing as overnight success. Real success takes time, diligent preparation and painstaking effort.

THE POWER OF THANK YOU

THE POWER OF THANK YOU

In the spirit of Thanksgiving this week I’d love to share with you the benefits and power of two simple words. THANK YOU. They are two words that have the power to transform our health, happiness, performance and success.

Normally you will find that grateful people are happier and more likely to maintain good relationships . A state of gratitude also improves the heart’s rhythmic functioning, which helps us to reduce stress, think more clearly under pressure and heal physically. It’s actually physiologically impossible to be stressed and thankful at the same time. When you are grateful you flood your body and brain with emotions that uplift and energises you rather than the stress hormones that drain you.

Gratitude and appreciation are also essential for a healthy work environment. In fact, the number one reason why people leave their jobs is because they don’t feel appreciated. A simple thank you and a show of appreciation can make all the difference.

Gratitude is like muscle. The more we do with it the stronger it gets. Therefore be thankful for everything that happens in your life.

Perseverance Pays

 Perseverance Pays
No life is devoid of problems and challenges. When you get knocked down in your life, what do you do? Do you give up easily or bounce back with greater determination strength?

A successful life often requires you to persist in the midst of setbacks. Perseverance is a skill that anyone can learn to not only survive, but thrive through life’s curves. When adversity strikes, it is not what happens to you but how you respond to what happens to you that has the greatest impact on your life.

Perseverance is the commitment you make to yourself to do whatever is necessary to accomplish your dreams and goals. Perseverance means you refuse to give up in spite of the difficulties that may surround you. It is the attitude that challenges you to say “why not?” instead of “why?”

Being persistent is the one thing which separates the winners from the losers. The world history is full of examples of people who succeeded as a result of their perseverance. “Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all,” reminds Dale Carnegie.

The key in developing perseverance is taking small steps that result in small achievements, ultimately resulting in success with your objective. It is like building a jigsaw puzzle, one piece is added at a time, and eventually you have the finished picture.

It always seems impossible until it is done.” “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.”

Remember You Are ONE Not Separate

Remember You Are ONE Not Separate

The One Truth is that everything in life is influenced by oneness and separateness. For example, a team that is divided is disconnected and powerless. A team that is united is connected and powerful. The same applies to you. When you feel a sense of oneness, connection and unity, you feel strong. When you feel separate from yourself, from others and spiritually you feel disconnected, negative and weak. It’s why all mental health disorders report feelings of being isolated, disconnected, alone and separate. The more connected you feel the more positive you will be.

Appreciate To Elevate

Appreciate To Elevate
When you appreciate, you elevate. You elevate your state of mind, you elevate your mood, you elevate your performance, and you elevate the people around you.
Since you can’t be stressed and thankful at the same time, when you practice gratitude or the appreciations you counter the stress that drains you.

Instead of focusing on what you lack, you appreciate what you have. Instead of feeling small, you are thankful for it all. Instead of a scarcity mindset where you don’t feel like you are enough or don’t have enough, you develop an abundance mindset.

Abundance flows into your life when gratitude flows out of your heart. Where stress and entitlement cut off the flow of positivity energy into your life, gratitude for things big and small connects you to it all.

Develop an attitude of appreciation for everything that happens to you, it will certainly carry a step forward toward achieving something bigger and better than what you are presently experiencing . Appreciation is the open door to abundance

It’s true that showing appreciation is one of the simplest yet most powerful things humans can do for each other that can take us for better tomorrow.
Let’s start with the simplest things of appreciation as such thing will leave with a warm feeling to all around.

REJECT FEAR – CHOOSE LOVE

REJECT FEAR – CHOOSE LOVE
This is a popular refrain and wonderful advice. Many believe that there are only two primal emotions in the human being, love and fear, and that we cannot feel both at once. And, that in the same way that light removes darkness, love can remove fear.

Love is the ultimate way to live with a high state of mind. Love is more powerful than fear. Love casts out fear. Love is inside out. Fear is outside in. Love radiates from us. Fear tries to invade us.

We create and live from the love inside of us to overcome the fear that tries to sabotage us. When you focus on love, fear dissipates. So, instead of worrying about the outcome, love the process. Instead of fearing what people think, focus on loving what you do.

Instead of fearing and making a mistake, love the moment and opportunity you have. Instead of living in fear, choose to live with love. You will be stronger and more powerful as you take on your daily struggles and the challenges in the world.

And once you start choosing love over fear, I bet your world will become infinitely more safe, loving, and open, so you can in fact, do what your heart most desires and grow more into your person. All it takes is an open heart, a willing mind, and the desire to feel more love.

LOOK WITHIN AND NOT OUTSIDE

LOOK WITHIN AND NOT OUTSIDE
When you look outside and worry about what people think, focus on the outcome, feel the expectations and pressure from others and believe you are a victim of your circumstances, this lowers your state of mind.
When you look inside and realize the truth, that you create your life from the inside out and that you have the power to transform your circumstances, this raises your state of mind.
So don’t look outside at your circumstances. Look within your heart, mind, soul and the power you possess to create a better circumstance.
“Your vision will become clear only when you can look within your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” Says Carl Jung.
It is not only the most difficult thing to know oneself, but the most inconvenient one too. Therefore, look within to find yourself. You get an opportunity to improve.

When You Experience Doubt, Choose to Trust  Higher Power

When You Experience Doubt, Choose to Trust  Higher Power

The answer to doubt is trust, and it’s only a thought away. When doubt comes in, choose to trust. Trust in yourself. Trust in the creator of the universe. Every addiction program believes in a higher power because it’s well known that you aren’t strong enough on your own. Your will isn’t powerful enough. But when you trust and connect with a higher power, you become more powerful than the forces and addictions that are sabotaging you.

The seeds of doubt will always come in, but you don’t have to let them take root in the garden of your mind. Each day you can weed the negative doubts to feed and nourish your garden with trust.

UNITY BRINGS STRENGTH

UNITY BRINGS STRENGTH
When we are united, we can bring the change. So unity not only gives hope and courage but also brings a change. Unity Gives Motivation: When we work as a team, we get motivated by each other and are encouraged to work harder. With motivation and hard work, we can accomplish greater goal.We cannot get inspiration in isolation but when we are together, we get inspired by each other in personal and professional matters.

Building unity demands effective communication, mutual respect, and a shared purpose. It requires transcending individual interests for the greater good and embracing compromise and consensus building. In a world often divided, recognizing the strength that emerges from unity is paramount. The force of unity can bridge divisions, shape societies, and conquer challenges, cultivating a brighter and more harmonious future when harnessed in personal lives, communities, and on a global scale.

TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER

TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER

This phrase just indicates towards the unity and teamwork. Its true that together we all are stronger than when we are alone. Together we all can win any battle by overcoming all obstacles because together we empower each other.

Unity is strength means staying united in all situations. It has great value in all walks of life. When we are united, we can surmount challenges and accomplish any goal. The development of our society and country depends on this spirit.

We all know that India was not an independent country till 1947. The British had come to India as traders but ruled for 200 years. It was just because of a lack of mutual unity among the people of the country. The Britishers took the advantage and adopted divide and rule policy. When the Indians came together to fight for their freedom from the British, which was a must, they united and fought against the British. This example proves that when we work unified then we can bring success.

No one can grow alone. We need support from others. If we want to grow we need to work together. If we have to achieve big success , we need to work together towards that success.

Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results

“None of us, including me, ever do great things. But we can all do small things, with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.” –Said Mother Teresa

Henry Ford’s quote, “If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself,” is one of my personal favourite quotes on teamwork.

In short Together we accomplish even the most difficult tasks.

HAVE A POSITIVE MINDSET

HAVE A POSITIVE MINDSET

To keep on growing in life you have to keep on learning from things that happen around you. Many people are of the opinion that learning stops after you complete your education. But it is not so .

You are learning and growing every moment. Learning is only effective when you start implementing the wisdom and knowledge you get, in lives.

The more you fail, the more you learn. The more you learn, the better you get. The operative word here is to learn. If you repeat the same mistake several times, you are not learning from it. You must learn from your own mistakes and from the mistakes of others before you. The ability to learn from mistakes has value not just in business but in all aspects of life. If you live to learn, then you will really learn to live.

“Look for the good in every situation, seek the valuable lesson in every setback, look for the solution to every problem. Think and talk continually about your goals.” – says Brian Tracy

TAKE A RISK IT’S WORTH

TAKE A RISK IT’S WORTH
In life, there are no safe places or risk-free activities. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Everything in life brings risk. It’s true that you risk failure if you try something bold and new  because you might miss it. But you need to understand that you also risk failure if you stand still and don’t try anything new. The less you venture out, the greater your risk of failure.

Ironically, the more you risk failure and actually fail, the greater your chances of success.Remember that You will not able to fulfil your purpose in life without stepping outside your comfort zone and take a risk . You’ll never know what you are capable of if you give in to fear, uncertainty, and doubt. You won’t make the positive impact you want without taking risks.

Remember, . “Security is mostly a superstition. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.” Says Helen Keller

PRACTICE IS THE KEY TO GREATNESS

PRACTICE IS THE KEY TO GREATNESS
Since our childhood we were taught that “hard work pays off if you wish to be good. You need to Practice, practice, practice “. Practice can make everything possible for any one and make them perfect. We must know the importance of practice in our daily life

Experts are not people with natural abilities or talents in a particular domain but ordinary individuals who attain and maintain a high level of consistency in terms of practice. So, as the old adage goes, “Practice makes perfect!”

Think about how you became good at something – be it some sport, dancing, writing, talking or whatever else you’re currently proficient in – at which you were once a novice or thought it impossible.

There is no substitute for practice, the only ‘magic formula’ that is capable of giving you the results you’re after. Practice empowers and enables you to cross boundaries,

Practice is the beginning of beautiful miracles waiting to happen. Therefore, whatever your goals, your desirable skills, your artistic aspirations and dreams of creativity, work towards building a steady and unshakable practice schedule around it. Having inserted yourself into that schedule, you will find yourself willing to entertain no compromise in exchange for your path to success and greatness!

Yes, it true “Without continuous practice, one cannot achieve great heights in life.”
DON’T PRACTICE UNTIL YOU GET IT RIGHT , PRACTICE UNTIL YOU CAN’T GET IT WRONG!!

SAVE THE CHILDREN

SAVE THE CHILDREN
Congenital heart diseases (CHD) account for as much as 28 per cent of all birth defects. The incidence of CHD is around 8-12 per 1000 live births. In India, every year, approximately 240,000 children are born with CHD, of which one-fifth need early intervention to survive the first year of life. These estimates are based on regional hospital-based data and the actual numbers may be higher considering the high rates of maternal infections during pregnancy and a significant percentage of unsupervised home deliveries where critical CHD may escape detection.

The magnitude of the problem is further compounded by a large pool of older infants and children who may have survived, despite no intervention.

Taking the prevalence of CHD into consideration, there are an estimated 25 million (2.5 crore) children, adolescents and adults with untreated CHD in India, which poses a huge challenge and burden on the patients, their families and on society.

If access to screening, early diagnosis and treatment is available, the baby has a 95% chance of survival with good long-term outcome.

Such advanced care is practically unavailable to over 90% of babies born in developing countries, including India.

A number of cardiac centers have been developed over the last 10 years. However, most are in the private sector, and are not geographically well-distributed.

Challenges to pediatric cardiac care include financial constraints, health-seeking behavior of community, and lack of awareness. Government of India is taking a number of steps for improving health of children through its various program and schemes that are likely to benefit children with congenital heart disease, especially those who are vulnerable and marginalized.

It will not be out of place here to mention that the number of children born with CHD in Asia have no or minimal access to healthcare, which ultimately results in a much higher child mortality rate compared with the rest of the world.Hence Rotary has to play a pivoted role in addressing this issue.

In Mumbai, Rotary District 3140 now 3141/3142  started Pediatric Heart Surgery programme in 2012-13 named as “Touching Little Hearts”. Initially limited to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital (KDAH) at Andheri, District 3141 and 3142 are now undertaking such surgeries in many hospitals. Currently, apart from KDAH, Pediatric Heart Surgery programme is going on in SRCC Hospital, Haji Ali; Wadia Hospital, Parel; Fortis Hospital. Mulund and Jupiter Hospital, Thane and some more hospitals. Starting with just 50 surgeries in 2012-13, the programme has gone from strength to strength in subsequent years.

It is estimated that annually, Rotary Districts 3141 and 3142 supports about 1500 surgeries in all these hospitals costing more than Rs.30 Crores – undoubtedly the largest philanthropic activity of Rotary in this part of the Rotary World.

India is a country with more than a billion population and a crude birth rate of 27.2/1000 population. This would amount to about 28 million live births every year. Going by an
incidence of congenital heart disease (CHD) of 8/1000 live births, we could expect about
180,000 children born with an abnormal heart from these, nearly 60,000–90,000 suffer from critical CHD requiring early intervention.

Apart from Rotary District 3141/42 there are some more Districts in the county which are involved in this activity under Gift of Life or Save the little angels. We do appreciate the support Rotary is receiving from some of the corporates under ÇSR and the support from the Rotary Foundation. All the same we must realise that there are very few Charitable organisations in India which are working for the children born with this disease.
Let Rotary promote this project whole heartedly and save the children. Let’s support and help Rotary to heal little hearts and give a chance of life to children born with Congenital Heart Defects.

UNITY IS STRENGTH

UNITY IS STRENGTH

Everyone has their unique definition of unity is strength, but all definitions could be summed up as one word: solidarity. The proverb unity is strength means stronger together.

“United we stand, divided we fall” is a popular proverb we have been taught since our childhood . It indicates the necessity of unity and collaboration. It implies that when people are ready to stand together and work together, they are able to accomplish great things while divisions and dissensions result in downfall. In a family, group , society or nation, when the members are ready to stand together, it is not going to be easy to defeat them. But, if they are divided it is easy for others to do so.

There are many benefits of staying united in tough times, as it helps to face challenging situations with courage. The importance of staying united has struck a chord among many people throughout history.

Where there is selfishness and narrow-mindedness there’s greater tendency to fight and stay apart from each other. Where there is generosity and large-heartedness, people know how to stay happily together. Wherever we are, do we have an earnest desire to stay together and work together? Or do we, at times, or may be often, remain as agents of division and disharmony.

Yes , . when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.

LIVE LIFE TO THE FULL

LIVE LIFE TO THE FULL

Life is a mystery which unfolds gradually. There are times we are confused and puzzled. But there are also definite moments of illumination and enlightenment. The mystery of life cannot be fully comprehended by one in isolation. Hence each of us needs to be assisted by those around us to understand and appreciate the mystery of life.

Endowed with unique features and talents each of us human beings has a definite role to play in the lives of others. Each of us can definitely make a difference in the world with our uniqueness. Comparisons and unhealthy competitions may fill people with the feelings of worthlessness. But when one rises above these unhealthy traits one will be able to recognize one’s own uniqueness and the distinct role that he/she can play in the lives of the people around.

Life gives us a lot of opportunities to be the change that we want to be in our lives. The problem is that these opportunities are often disguised. Many miss the chance to be a good friend just because he/she has failed to notice a drop of tear or a tinge of pain in the eyes of another or has failed to give a node of appreciation when the other needed it the most. These things do make a difference in the lives of others.

Always remember Some people may find happiness when they have reached the top of the career ladder or live in a large home. Others may be happy living a simple yet peaceful life. Only you can decide what makes you happy. Living life to the fullest means understanding what makes you happy, what really matters, and what you want to achieve.

Let Policy Take a Stand

Let Policy Take a Stand

The world is fast changing.  Life is becoming more and more complex.  The emerging trends and cultures have come to govern the modern life.  And the traditional values and beliefs are slowly vanishing.

Despite the amazing changes the age-old evils of the society remain.  Millions are still deprived of their basic needs.  The gap between the rich and the poor still continues to widen.  Rape, violence, corruption, and conflicts based on race, region, religion, etc., are rampant.  There is a lot of hypocrisy in our talks about justice, liberty, equality and human rights.

Despite all this, there is no reason for us to despair if we are prepared to take a stand. The change should start with each one of us.  We need to be free first of all, from corrupt practices, underhand dealings and unjust behaviours.  This of course poses a challenge – a challenge to live as honest citizens of the world.   When we develop a clear conscience and live accordingly we become agents of change in our society.
