Walt Disney was fired from a newspaper company because the management thought that he lacked creativity. Unaffected by the apparent humiliation, he gave wings to his creativity and went on to found an animation studio that made him a household name. Steve Jobs was fired from Apple before returning as the face of the company for many years. If Disney and Jobs had believed that failure was permanent, they would not have scripted success stories that made them legends.
We live in a society that overestimates success but belittles failure. Today’s failures contain the seeds of tomorrow’s greatest successes. Winston Churchill once said,“ Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”. When you fail and recover, you become stronger and more resilient.
Many of us allow our fear of failure to stop us from doing those things that move us forward toward our goals. The first step to mastering the art of failing successfully is to see failure and success as two sides of the same coin. Instead of being obsessed with perfection, have the courage to face failures. This will enable you to see your weaknesses, work on them and emerge victorious.
Always remember “Failure is a delay, not defeat. It is a detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing”, says
Denis Waitley.
Therefore, embrace failures and
learn to persevere in spite of them, for it is the hard and sure way to success.
Let’s learn to celebrate failure and achieve success in life
