“A good archer is not known by his arrows but by his aim”.
Most of us make excuses to defend our conduct and live with the wrong notion that making excuses is something that everybody does… Over the years we have cultivated the art of making excuses with creative ways to avoid doing something that needs tobedone. We think that with excuses we do not have to be accountable for our words and deeds. Is it too much to say that we are addicted to excuses?
When we make excuses and repeat them often enough, they become a belief. The belief then becomes a self- fulfilling habit and then failures are bound to happen.
Excuses set limits on our will and blocks the road to our purpose and passion. It is only when we accept responsibility, can we evaluate our actions and take corrective measures to find solutions to our problems.
We need to learn to eliminate the bad habit of making excuses and take responsibility for everything in our lives. In accepting responsibility, we are showing a willingness to develop our character and in doing so , our character will become stronger and as a consequence the quality of our life will be enhanced.
Let’s remember that life is too short for us to entertain the negative habit of making excuses. If we want to achieve something in life, there is no doubt that we will find a way. If on the other hand we don’t want to do something, and scared of difficulties and challenges, we can always find an excuse. Therefore, don’t let excuses hold us back from developing our full potential. When the door is closed, why don’t we look through the open window?
People use excuses to rationalize their actions regarding their circumstances, their actions toward other people, and regarding certain events. However, excuses are often the primary reasons why people are unable to accomplish what they want out of life.
Because of this, one of the best habits you can build is to proactively make a commitment to stop making excuses. Stop excusing your failures or your procrastination and start taking the steps that are necessary to get what you want out of life.
Stop making excuses and dare tobe what you want to be .
Enjoy the victory of good over the evil. May you have a fun-filled and blissful Dusshera.
