As a trustee, Represented Trustee Chair of The Rotary Foundation at various Rotary zone institutes world over. Elected as the Trustees of the Rotary Foundation when he was the serving director of Rotary International which is quite a rare fortune. Interviewed most of the Rotary leaders’ world over in person.

Mr. Mahajan has a big contribution in eradication Polio from our country. He played a major role in bringing corporates in India to support the Rotary Foundation for Polio Eradication. He was instrumental in bringing Muslim religious leader to support Polio Eradication program in India and that made all the difference. His involvement in Polio Plus Program has been widespread. He has been working with the National Polio Plus Committee for about 10 years now. He has also served International Polio Plus Committee from 2009-2013. He realized that he is in the Rotary to handle the most important purpose of his life: Eradicate Polio and save the children of the world.A person becomes successful with the unconditional love from his family. He is a staunch devotee of Shree Shridi Saibaba. Mr. Mahajan is blessed with a loving wife, Nayantara, who supported him in all his commitments. Nayantara is a Past President of Inner Wheel Club of Mulund. His family has taught him that everyday holds a new sunshine. His children, Nikhil with Monica and Namrata with Nitin always inspire him about his role in Rotary and urge him to serve the community and value his presence as a Rotarian.He is blessed with three grand Children. Mr. Ashok Mahajan has been felicitated with Rotary Foundation’s highest awards namely Distinguished Service Award, Service above Self Award, Regional Service Award for a Polio free world , International Service Award for Polio free world and Polio Plus Pioneer Award.

Received an appreciations for his work in the field of Cervical cancer , paediatric heart surgeries and T B free Thane by Thane Municipal corporation.

Received an appreciation from Jupiter Hospital for completing 750 Paediatric heart surgeries through this hospital. It was received at the hands of Chairman and Managing Director Dr Ajay Thakkar.

Apart from his work, Mr. Mahajan enjoys reading, writing, cricket and social service. Outside Rotary too, he has served the society in many ways. Punjab Kesari Club, Council for Fair business practices and Civil Defence Advisory Committee are a few of his areas of interest .
