From Being Someone to Becoming a Memory

There was a time when our presence lit up faces, our arrival brought joy, and our place in people’s hearts felt secure. Then life unfolded its own story. Time changed, priorities changed, people changed, and many relationships that once seemed unbreakable slowly drifted into memories. Today, when someone asks, “How are you?”, I smile and say, “I’m fine.” Not because there is no pain, but because I have learned that some wounds are felt deeply and carried silently. Life has taught me that attachment does not always guarantee permanence. Not everyone who calls us their own remains with us forever. Some people walk beside us for a season, leave behind lessons, and become cherished chapters of our journey. Yet, despite the disappointments, the heart continues to hope, to forgive, and to move forward—stronger, wiser, and more grateful for every experience that shaped us. For life reminds us that while people may leave, the memories they create remain forever. Ashok Mahajan SMILE SERVE SACRIFICE SATISFY
