ARE YOU TRULY COMMITTED? Commitment is easy to recognize both in ourselves and in others. Those who are truly committed focus on what they can give. Those who aren't, focus on what they can get. Deep down, you know whether you are committed or not. Commitment always comes at a cost. It demands service and sacrifice whether it's time, energy, money, or personal priorities. When you commit, you are either giving something or giving up something. To be your best, you must be fully committed to what you do. To be the best for others, you must be committed to them. Too often, we let the lack of commitment in others influence our own. But true leaders rise above this. As Rotarians, we belong to a Service Organization with Service Above Self as its motto. That means our focus must always be on our own commitment, not on whether others are falling short. So let's lead by example. Let's be the ones who Smile, Serve, Sacrifice, and Satisfy.
