Home Messages A Few Observations

Dear Trustee Chair Paul,

From the 2016-2017 TRF Operations Report I find that:

1. The number of persons (Rotarians) who gave US $100 has been 243,337 in 2013-14, 251,303 during 2014-15, 250, 125 during 2015-16 and 254,159 during 2016-17.

This means that the EREY Programme is stagnating around that figure and extra push is not being given by the DRFC and RRFC for this. About US $35 to 38 million only comes from this source.

If this drive is intensified then another US $50 million can be expected year after year.

2.The number of donors who gave US $1 million has been 63,1 and 6 in those years and identifying such donors isa big task. You have done it commendably. Probably Ri Directors and TRF Trustees from wealthy countries must be made to go to high networth individuals in their area.

3. Those who gave US $500,000 during these years are 3,5,4 and 11. Probably a scope is seen here to find individuals in this category.

4.The number of persons who gave US $250,000 in this period is 21,25,12 and 26. Giving pledges for this AKS may not have increased the numbers significantly.

5. There is an improvement in the number of people giving US $10,000 which has touched 1,085 last year from 866 during the previous year. This area may be worth investing resources in terms of the time of DRFC and RRFC.

6. Surprisingly the number of people giving US $5,000 is stagnant around the 1,200 figure and still worth trying. 7.The US $1,000 donors continue to rise though not in large numbers over the years and this is yielding around US $47 million. At the club level this needs to be pushed vigorously.

8.The percentage of Rotarians contributing is just over 40 percent and from 2012-2013 there has been marginal growth in this figure.

9.0nly 9 percent of the Rotarians have contributed to polioplus during last year and 49.5 percent of clubs have given to this cause.

10.In India US $4.86 million was spent by polioplus fund for surveillance and social mobilisation.

Regards to you and dear Diane from Me and Nayantara.
