For many of you the problem does not lie in accomplishing the task at hand, but in getting started in the first place. You have countless excuses, such as, the time isn't right, you aren't prepared enough, and the list goes on. Unless you move beyond the daydreaming stage and get started, you'll never become successful in realizing your dreams. Rowling knew she wanted to be a writer as early as age six when she wrote her first story. But she never had the confidence to take her first novel to publishers. Finally, in 1995 her sister encouraged her to take that risk. Rowling did take that step and to her disappointment, her book, was rejected by twelve publishing houses before it was finally accepted two years later in 1997. Today Rowling has a series of seven Harry Potter books to her credit. Harry Potter's magic has touched readers of all ages all over the world.
