ERASE “IMPOSSIBLE “FROM YOUR DICTIONARY

Home Messages ERASE “IMPOSSIBLE “FROM YOUR DICTIONARY

ERASE IMPOSSIBLE FROM YOUR DICTIONARY Optimistic as always we are and committed as we all profess to be, our aims and objectives may be high but achievable none the less. The commonestreason why we fail to achieve our objectives is our belief that what we dream to accomplish is impossible If Napoleon had the word impossible erased from his dictionary, why can't we? If you paraphrase the word IMPOSSIBLE into I'M,POSSIBLE, it will generate a sense of confidence and if itis confidence that we all need - confidence in our goals, confidence in our strength and confidence in our actions. Our actions are not only our own but also of all our fellow crusaders. We have a joint account in the Bank of Service. Instead of pursuing the path to our goal single handedly, we should reach it by sitting on the shoulders of our fellowmen. The Rotary Foundation is the vehicle that can carry you to the ultimate goal. Peace is our major project and Peace cannot be achieved in isolation. Peace is a joint product of many hands elevated to help people live in peace. When you are hungry or sick or malnourished or handicapped by your vital needs, even God cannot approach you except in the form of your needs. Peace is a distant dream for the underprivileged. Therefore, Rotary approached them in the form of an agency that provides them with some of their important needs. The Rotary Foundation is, therefore, not only scholarships, fellowship, grants, volunteers, exchange teams and so on but is also a vehicle that runs on compassion as its fuel and alleviation of sufferings as its goal. Since the induction of District Simplified Grants as a core project, The Rotary Foundation disburses millions of dollars to the Districts to be utilized by the Clubs in the Districts, This has made the word impossible rather redundant because now you can plan a project beyond your financial capabilities and succeed in securing the help from The Rotary Foundation. If your project is worth-while, workable and achievable, you can be reasonably sure to receive help from the Rotary Foundation. Impossible at one stage meant un-achievable , Today, you can dream big, plan big, connect big and achieve big if you have the courage to toil for the goal. Rotarians are committed volunteers andare known to have conquered many hurdles. We can continue to do so if we do not become weighed down by what seems impossible. Easy is for the common man, difficult is for dreamers alone but what seems impossible is not beyond the band of crusaders we call Rotarians Let us therefore, erase the word impossible from Rotary and venture forth to achieve what to others was impossible. Therein lies our strength, our commitment, our conviction, our resolve. Let us, therefore, try. There is hope because of you.
