Giving comes when you have extreme love for humanity around you. When you talk about giving to The Rotary Foundation, it is not as much about doing a humanitarian project but more about opening your heart, When you are a member of the Rotary movement, it's not enough to talk about The Rotary Foundation's work globally. You must believe in it. Its not enough to just be- lieve in it, you must work with The Rotary Foundation. Every day, as a Rotarian, your higher self wants you to know that many people around you are begging for your attention. Can you not hear their soul calling to you? Please do not ignore these calls any longer. Please do not say, Ok, I willl start giving to- morrow. When you hear and read about help people of all ages need in different parts of the world, stop everything right at that minute. Say Hello to your soul and recon nect with those crying for help. The New Year is an opportunity and a possibility for newer visions of ie. So how should each one of us measure our progress in the New Year? Have we moved forward as a civilization or backward? Have we moved forward as a human being? Are more people joyful In 2017 than earlier? Is there more peace in 2017 than before? Have everyone of us done something more to make this earth a better place for the people living now and for the future generations? This is something each one of us should decide. If the answer is not satisfactory to yourself, then it is time now to start doing something that will make 2018 a better year. And since as individuals, you and I can only do 50 much, let us join the team of extraordinary people in The Rotary Foundation and support the programmes worldwide.
