Today is not just another event—it is a celebration of compassion, commitment, and the power of collective goodwill.
We are gathered here at KIMS Hospital for a cause that touches the very core of humanity—saving the lives of children through paediatric heart surgeries.
The Rotary Club of Mulund and Thane Premium vee been actively involved in this noble program for the past 7–8 years.
Over this period, we have had the privilege of saving—or rather, gifting—a new life to thousands of children.
Each surgery is not just a medical procedure; it is a second chance at life, a renewed hope for families.
While our association with KIMS Hospital may be relatively recent, the driving force behind this program, Dr. Srinivas, has been dedicated to this mission for many years. His commitment and passion have been truly inspiring.
Over the past few months, I have personally witnessed the warmth, dedication, and highly cooperative environment at the hospital.
Almost every week, I visit to see the children and their parents— and each visit brings immense satisfaction.
Seeing young lives being restored, families smiling again, and hope returning where there was once despair—it is an experience beyond words.
I must also highlight that the success rate of these surgeries is almost 100%, which speaks volumes about the expertise, precision, and efficiency of the surgeons, as well as the excellent medical environment here.
Many a times, I have seen very complex and critical cases being accepted—and successfully treated—with remarkable confidence and care.
I take this opportunity to wholeheartedly congratulate the medical and paramedical staff for their dedication.
Equally, I would like to appreciate the management of the hospital, who continue to support and promote this noble initiative.
We all understand that this is not a profit-making activity, yet the commitment and care shown are truly commendable.
We are confident that this partnership will continue to grow stronger, and together, we will ensure that many more of these little angels go on to live healthy and normal lives.
This program was envisioned with a simple yet powerful objective:
No child should be denied treatment due to financial constraints.
And this vision has been made possible largely due to the generous and sustained support of the Aditya Birla Group, whose contributions over the years have amounted to crores of rupees, transforming countless lives.

She is a shining example of compassion, humility, and an unwavering commitment to humanity.
As a guiding force of the Aditya Birla Group, she has been instrumental in driving numerous philanthropic initiatives across healthcare, education, and social welfare.
Her contributions to Rotary are equally extraordinary.
She has contributed over 19 million US dollars towards Rotary’s corporate program for the Global Polio Eradication Initiative—playing a significant role in one of the world’s most impactful public health missions led by Rotary International.
Year after year, she has also extended immense financial support—running into crores of rupees—for various Rotary programs, consistently strengthening our efforts to serve communities in need.
What truly distinguishes her is not just the scale of her contributions, but the sincerity and humility with which she gives. Her work has touched millions of lives, often quietly, but always profoundly.
Today, as we felicitate her, we are celebrating not just an individual, but a legacy of kindness, generosity, and purposeful service.
